The role of women in peacebuilding and peacekeeping

Armed conflicts have a major impact on the lives on women and their families. But women also have important skills that could be used more effectively in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. How can the role of women in peace negotiati ons, reconciliation and peacekeeping be strengthened? These issues were addressed in this training course on the implementation of UNSC Resolutions 1325 en 1820.
This training course is organised by the Grotius Centre for International Studies and took place from 22 until 26 November 2010 in cooperation with
Oxfam Novib, Netherlands Institute of International Relations
Clingendael and the
municipality of The Hague.
