Supranational Criminal Law Lecture Series

The Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, the T.M.C. Asser Institute and the Coalition for the International Criminal Court invite you to the Supranational Criminal Law Lecture Series.

The SCL Lecture Series takes place almost every Wednesday evening in The Hague. The are free of charge and albeit exceptional cases registration is not neccessary. Coffee and tea is provided.

The Supranational Criminal Law Lecture Series (SCL Lecture Series), aim to contribute to information-sharing and public discourse on contemporary legal issues, while benefiting from the input of distinguished practitioners and experts in the field. The lecture series are particulary interesting for all professionals working with, or interested, in international legal activities in The Hague. These include lawyers, journalists, diplomats, NGO representatives, LL.M-students, and academics. However, everyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

The SCL Lecture Series has been honoured to host Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the Chief Prosecutor of the ICC and David Crane, the Chief Prosecutor for the Sierra Leone Tribunal as speakers. Other distinguished experts in the lecture series included inter alia Prof. John Dugard (Leiden University and International Law Commission) and Prof. Cherif Bassiouni (De Paul University).   

The SCL Lecture Series are a collective effort of the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies (Campus The Hague, Leiden University), the T.M.C. Asser Institute and the NGO Coalition for the International Criminal Court.
