The SCL Lecture Series takes place almost every Wednesday evening in The Hague. The are free of charge and albeit exceptional cases registration is not neccessary.
By co-organising the Supranational Criminal Law Lecture Series (SCL Lecture Series), the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies contributes to information-sharing and public discourse on contemporary legal issues, while benefiting from the input of distinguished practitioners and experts in the field.
The SCL Lecture Series has been honoured to host Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the Chief Prosecutor of the ICC and David Crane, the Chief Prosecutor for the Sierra Leone Tribunal as speakers. Other distinguished experts in the lecture series included inter alia Prof. John Dugard (Leiden University and International Law Commission) and Prof. Cherif Bassiouni (De Paul University).
The lecture series is aimed at all professionals working with, or interested, in the international legal activities in The Hague. These include lawyers, journalists, diplomats, NGO representatives, LL.M-students, and academics. The lecture series is free off charge, so everyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
The SCL Lecture Series is a collective effort of the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies (Campus The Hague, Leiden University), the T.M.C. Asser Institute and the NGO Coalition for the International Criminal Court.
To receive automatic invitations for the SCL Lecture Series, you are cordially invited to send a request to grotiuscentre@campusdenhaag.nl |
