On Monday 20 September, Prof. Hugh Thirlway, former Principal Legal Secretary at the International Court of Justice, will give the lecture 'Crossing the Firewall: Jurisdiction and Merits before the ICJ'. The lecture is part of the John Dugard Lecture Series, and celebrates the official opening of the Advanced Master's programme in Public International Law 2010-2011. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.

From 18th to 12th of November practicing lawyers, counsel or legal professionals who wish to deepen their advocacy and litigation skills in international criminal law can follow an intensive training course. The course is targeted towards practicing lawyers, counsel or legal professionals who wish to deepen their advocacy and litigation skills in international criminal law. Experienced and skilled practitioners from the international criminal institutions of The Hague are in charge of the training. The course is carried out in smaller groups to guarantee accessibility and an interactive learning environment.
